Our volunteers collected and delivered food kits to the city of Mykolaivka, Kramatorsk district, Donetsk region, to children with disabilities, war-affected families of IDPs with children, low-income families with children, and single older people.
Mykolaivka and the surrounding villages, like many other war-affected cities in the east of Ukraine, witnessed difficult times and terrible events, suffered bombings, shelling with victims and victims, and significant destruction. Many families who now live here have already lost their homes, property, and, most importantly, their hope for a peaceful future.
Entire families with children and older people were forced to leave their native lands to escape danger and seek refuge in relatively safer places. The city lived without electricity, gas, and water for a long time, and it did not have a regular food supply.
Now, the situation here, in connection with the front-line approach, is becoming even more tense and difficult – interruptions in the supply of vital necessities to people occur again and again from time to time.
