Last Friday, September 27, 2024, our volunteers delivered food packages to the frontline city of Pokrovsk. The situation there remains extremely challenging. Stores are not operating, and many residents have chosen to stay in their homes despite the constant shelling and danger.
Pokrovsk is located just 10 kilometers from the front line, making it highly vulnerable to ongoing attacks. Due to the shelling, the city has been left without water, gas, and electricity. Before the war, the population was over 60,000, but now only about 18,000 residents remain, and the number continues to decrease.
In early September, Russian shelling caused 28,000 residents to lose access to gas, and the following day, they were cut off from the water supply. Every day, people are forced to collect water from several stationary points and share it with their neighbors.
We continue to support the residents of the affected frontline areas in the eastern regions of Ukraine, providing them with essential food and supplies.
We are deeply grateful to all our partners, without whom this aid would not have been possible. Special thanks to the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and Oleksandr Zudin, a volunteer and owner of the Lipinskie Raki restaurant.
Thank you to everyone who contributes to this important cause! Together, we can help those who face the daily challenges of war.
