Essential Care Immediately After Evacuation
After being wounded and evacuated to a stabilization point or medical facility, a service member often finds themselves without the most basic personal belongings.
Clothing and equipment may be damaged or lost, and during the first days of treatment there is usually no opportunity to purchase underwear, hygiene products, or comfortable clothing independently.
For the third consecutive year, volunteers from the Ukraine Is You Charitable Foundation have regularly carried out humanitarian missions to deliver and distribute aid to wounded service members in medical facilities and stabilization points in the city of Zaporizhzhia.
When the necessary resources are available, these humanitarian missions take place up to twice a month.
Who We Help
Assistance is delivered directly to wounded Ukrainian service members who are:
- in medical facilities;
- in military hospitals;
- at stabilization points;
- receiving treatment and undergoing the initial stage of recovery after evacuation.
We prepare assistance based on the current needs of service members and requests from medical facilities.
What We Provide to Wounded Defenders
Among the items that the Foundation’s volunteers regularly collect and deliver directly to wounded service members are:
- bed linen;
- new undershirts and underwear;
- tank tops and T-shirts;
- men’s underwear;
- socks;
- men’s sweatpants;
- indoor slippers;
- towels;
- walkers;
- crutches;
- walking sticks;
- disposable razors;
- toothpaste;
- toothbrushes;
- other personal hygiene products;
- laundry detergent;
- non-perishable food;
- tea, coffee, sweets, and other treats.
The list may change depending on requests from medical facilities, the season, and the needs of service members.
How We Provide Assistance
The Foundation’s team:
- receives current requests from medical facilities, stabilization points, and volunteers;
- raises funds and collects necessary items;
- inspects, sorts, and packages the donated goods;
- prepares individual and group aid packages;
- organizes the transportation of humanitarian cargo to Zaporizhzhia;
- delivers assistance directly to wounded defenders.
This is ongoing work that requires regular replenishment of supplies, logistics funding, and support from caring individuals.
Why This Assistance Matters
Clean underwear, comfortable clothing, hygiene products, and basic household items may seem simple. However, for someone who has just been wounded, evacuated, and begun treatment, they are extremely important.
These items:
- provide basic comfort;
- help maintain personal hygiene;
- make the first days in hospital easier;
- restore a sense of care and human dignity;
- reduce the burden on medical staff and the families of service members.

You can help not only by donating goods or money.
The Foundation is open to cooperation with:

We would be grateful for assistance with purchasing, transportation, packaging, spreading information, or systematically covering a particular category of needs.
Let Us Support Those Who Defend Our Future
Your contribution will provide significant assistance to wounded defenders who are currently undergoing treatment and recovery.
Together, we can provide them with the items they need during the first days after evacuation and show them that they have not been left alone.
